Wind Measurement Mast

Wind Measurement Mast

A wind measurement mast is a steel tower used to mount anemometers, wind vanes, and other sensors. It is also called a met mast. We build two main types: guyed and self-supporting. Guyed masts use a triangular lattice section with guy wires. They use less steel and ship easier than self-supporting towers. Self-supporting masts stand on their own and work where guy wires are not possible.

All masts are hot-dip galvanized to ISO 1461 or ASTM A123. Heights range from 10 m to 150 m. Standard heights are 60, 80, 100, and 120 m. Sensor load, wind speed, and site conditions decide the final design.

Typical uses include wind farm prospecting, meteorological stations, airport weather monitoring, and environmental research. Send us your required height, sensor load, and site wind speed. We will recommend the right structure and provide foundation reactions for your local engineer.
